But I mean, if you’re going to have a website, might as well make sure that’s live.
Also, just because you aren’t selling directly on your website, you never know who’s Googling our name. Who’s looking for you and your books. If they stumble upon your website and it’s not working, that doesn’t look professional.

If you go cheap or free now, I can almost guarantee you’ll regret it later.

Some clients use it because of the low price, but I’ve seen enough site downtime to make it a pass for my official recommendations. Stability matters—your readers (and sales) shouldn’t have to wait.
🚫Inmotion
InMotion can be fine for bare minimum sites, but their email handling is a nightmare.
Setting up a simple contact form? You’ll be forced to install 3rd-party SMTP plugins just to send messages properly—and even then, it’s hit or miss.
